FAQ's
We have listed below some of the most frequently asked questions we get asked. However, if you can't find the answer you're looking for, just give us a ring or use the contact page and we'll happily respond to any question, big or small.
01
Do I need a garden or landscape designer, and if so what are the benefits?
Creating a well-designed garden or landscape requires detailed knowledge and experience that goes beyond horticulture and hard landscaping. Bringing all of these elements together in a creative and cohesive manner to deliver enduring end-results, that's also within your budget, requires meticulous planning and managing. A good garden designer will make this process as simple as possible for you. They will take time to work closely with you, discovering what makes you tick, offering a variety of solutions and recommending the best way of meeting your individual requirements. Whilst primary concerns for creating your dream garden may be a tranquil place to enjoy with your kids, grow your own food or increase the local biodiversity, it's worth noting that a well designed garden can increase the value of your property by up to 17%. This means bringing a garden designer in is a better investment than a kitchen or bathroom.

How does the whole process work?
Have a look at the landscaping services section for a more detailed understanding, but essentially after your free consultation we respond to your brief with a suggested process tailored to your requirements, whether that's the complete design and management service, or only aspects of it. A normal project's running order could be:
Site survey; Concept design; Master plans, Planting plans, Structural drawings etc.; Build and planting; Signing off project by client and designer.
02
How long will it take?
That completely depends on the size of the project and other factors such as access. If you send us an email or give us a ring, we'll be happy to discuss your project's requirements.
03
04
How much will it cost?
Have a look at landscape services page for a more in depth guide. Once you have had your initial free consultation we will be able to provide you with an estimate. A good garden designer works hard to minimise the build costs, and advises you on how to ensure best value for money without compromising quality.
What sort of aftercare can you expect?
We provide a comprehensive aftercare service for new landscape gardens designed and built by us. We pride ourselves on how we continue to look after our clients and their gardens once the build stage is completed. We can also give you detailed garden maintenance notes for all your plants, email you monthly tailored advice or organise the maintenance by one of our dedicated gardeners on your behalf. We usually meet clients once or twice a year to talk about further improvements
